90% of cars have WiFi antenna but some car’s may require additional WiFi antenna to get CarPlay functioning properly. It is the buyer’s responsibility to buy one. You can always buy one after Carplay activation as WiFi antenna is just plug and play.
How do I know if my car has a wifi antenna?
If your car is equipped with a wireless charger, or if you have WLAN in your options list.

Step 1: Identify the iDrive system
Check whether your BMW is equipped with a color display and rotary knob on the center console.
If so, you probably have an iDrive system.
Press the iDrive "Menu" button.
If you see the "Car Information" option, you have a CCC system.

Step 2: Access the "Car Information" menu
Select "Car Information" from the iDrive main menu.
Use the rotary knob to navigate through the menus.
Look for the "Software Version" option.
Step 3: Find CCC system version
Select "Software Version" to display the CCC system version.
The version number will be displayed on the screen.
